Doctors are always welcome- we especially need surgeons or orthopaedists. For example due, to connective tissue deficiencies, the people of Northern Ghana suffer greatly from hernia. Dr Abdualai, as the only surgeon, cannot deal with every case, and waiting lists can be up to 2 years for non-emergency operations. All surgeries are performed only with local anaesthetic for there are neither anaesthesists nor any equipment for general anesthetic.
